Ceilidh / Wedding Dance Band

Who we are

large product photo   Albert (Guitar/Bouzouki)

Albert is a very experienced muscian, being the oldest in the band, if anything goes wrong we blame him! Being able to turn his hand to almost any request means he in invaluable to the band. As well as playing several different instruments Albert is also our lead Male vocalist.

Ricky (Stix) Lambourne has been playing the drums since the age of 13. His original roots are with the Fochabers Fiddlers, however quickly progressing to rock bands and even some Elvis covers..........

He found he was a very versatle drummer and enjoys the wide variety of music he gets to play with the band. The biggest problem for the band is getting him to stop playing long enough to decide what the next dance is going to be.

Clare started playing the violin at the age of 4 however with her father being James Alexander (MBE) founder of the Fochabers Fiddlers that really was no surprise.

Clare has played in fiddle groups, orchestra and as a soloist but thankfully has settled for Ceilidhs.

Craig started playing music at School as a cellist before moving onto playing guitar in several bands during his school years.

He has a keen interest in sound engineering as is heavily involved with the music festival Speyfest.

He joined his first ceilidh band Mak-a-rak-it as the bass player at the age of 17 and has been playing ceilidh music since.
